Firewood and Canadian Customs

The Canadian Government is serious about the entry of firewood from the United States into their country. No longer do they just ask for firearms. They are now asking if you have firewood.
Ken Marchant, a forestry specialist with the Canadian Food Inspection Agency says,"Our priority has got to be to slow down this thing (ash borer)" - "Long term, we are trying to find ways to battle it and prevent it."
My advice is, don't try to smuggle firewood into Canada. You may regret it.
