Most Famous Wildfire and Forest Fire Photograph Ever Taken!

John McColgan, a BLM firefighter, took photos on August 6th, 2000 while fighting fires in the Bitterroot Valley of Montana. McColgan says he "just happened to be in the right place at the right time" with his Kodak DC280 digital camera. McColgan could not have known at the time that this photograph would become the most posted picture of a forest fire on the Internet - some even say it is the most beautiful wildfire photo ever taken.
