Discussion: Beekeeping in Your Forest

Wednesday February 14, 2007
"I'm considering whether to try and keep honeybees on my pine plantation. Given that I'll be planting the logging decks from the just completed thinning, I was thinking I might put a couple hives at the back edge of one of the logging decks.

This wouldn't be a commercial venture, just hobby scale . . . 2 or 3 hives.

Have any of you ever known anyone to try this, or have any advice?" - Thorus3
