Trees Are Economically Valuable

Friday August 1, 2008
Trees have never traditionally been seen as income producers until severed, sawn and sold. Arborist and savvy tree owners know different and I want to make the case that trees in your landscape make you money over the long run. They do it in the following major ways.

  • Trees Reduce Energy Costs
  • Trees Increase Property Values
There are also three methods used by the International Society of Arborist to determine a tree's monetary value. They can determine a tree's value by repacement method, trunk formula method or appraisal method. You would be well advised to consult an ISA certified arborist if you have a tree value issue.
