Artificial Christmas trees are definitely the way to go. They don’t fill the landfills, they typically last 8-10 years, they use less resources and modern trees can look very real. Putting the tree together can be just as much fun as cutting a tree down!
I will always like a real tree. Nevertheless, we use an artificial tree. First, they look fairly real. But, more that than, using an artificial tree permits me to put a tree up the day after Thanksgiving and not worry. Decorating for Christmas is a lot of work. I want to our family to be able to enjoy the season as long as possible. We have never had a real tree that stayed nice for a long time, and I was very faithful to do what I needed to keep it fresh. The last time we had a real tree I discovered when undecorating it that a whole limb was badly charred – that’s the first time I realized how close we came to a house fire.
Unlit artificial Christmas trees are the way to go. I have had a lot of exposure to artificial christmas trees over the past few years. I believe people really enjoy the convenience of artificial trees. The great thing about an unlit tree is that you can always add lights, but you don’t have to worry about them otherwise.

I dont know how you cant think artificial christmas trees are great. I was on http://www.christmascentral.com and they have trees that are prelit. Why have the hassel of getting a live tree then strining on the lights. Put it up take it down. THats what im doing this year
