The first Mystery Tree ID site has been a complete success. This kind of site is real easy to do and I want to continue with a site that might offer just a bit more than trees; it also may be a tad harder. I will try to bring various things of the forest to your attention and offer a challenge to your identification skills.
Again, I will give a new clue every two or three days until the mystery photo is identified. The clues will become progressively easier until you either get the correct answer or I have to tell you what you are looking at. You can give any name but I will decide if the common or scientific name is correct. I encourage that you send photos of your own and become a guest page host. You should e-mail a digital photo as an attachment (I cannot scan a photo) to forestry.guide@about.com. You will get full Guest Host recognition. If the photo belongs to someone please give full credit....
I ask that you e-mail me your answer. Remember that by doing so you have agreed to allow me to use your name as the latest winner. I do require your name and state of residence to be an active participant and will allow you only one guess per day and one win per month.
