Habitat: Although the coastal form grows mainly between sea level and 610 m (2,000 ft), the inland form is found from 490 to 3660 m (1,600 to 12,000 ft).
Description: Lodgepole pine trees vary in growth rate, depending upon location.
Uses: 8-foot studs, knotty pine paneling, shelving, cabinetry, interior finish, fence posts, corral rails, tramsmission or telephone poles, house logs, veneer, plywood, pulpwood and firewood.
