Common Names:  Also also called pignut, sweet pignut, coast pignut hickory, smoothbark hickory, swamp hickory, and broom hickory.

Habitat:  Moist and dry uplands.

Description:  A common but not abundant species in the oak-hickory forest association in Eastern United States.

Uses:  Lumber, fuelwood
