I have researched online sources where you can purchase/rent/borrow videos on the safe use of chainsaws.  I do not endorse any company or product here and would suggest you contact the producer/developer for further information.

This is a database listing sources of chainsaw videos that can be purchased, rented or loaned in the United States.  These twenty sources include both government and private producers.  The National Ag Safety Database (NASD) is developed to provide sources for materials devoted to increased safety, health and injury prevention in agriculture.

This 2-part video, designed for both professionals and occasional chainsaw users, explains and demonstrates the vital importance of saw chain sharpening and chainsaw maintenance. Featuring professional chainsaw operators, it looks at the “high-tech” structure of the modern chainsaw cutting link (or cutter) and demonstrates the safety implications of filing angles and depth gauge settings, just what you needed to know for effective and safe felling. This video shows you in detailed steps, how to do the job right.

  "It Keeps Happening Every Twelve Seconds"

This is a candid look at the lives of five permanently disable workers, from a logger who broke his back to a mill worker who lost his hands. Their stories are repeated endlessly by thousands of other Canadians injured in crippling accidents every twelve seconds of every workday. EVERY TWELVE SECONDS shows the pain and the anger of people whose lives have been turned upside down because of the unpredictability of nature, the imperfection of technology, or worse, simple human error.

  "The Silent Threat"

This program deals with ‘chicots’, the leading hazard in the woodlands. (Chicots are wholly or partly dead trees that may fall suddenly and without warning when they are disturbed by nearby activity.) Every year, loggers are injured by falling chicots—and they remain the single leading cause of woodlands fatalities. The program follows the stories of several chicot accident victims. It also gives clear instructions on how to identify and deal with this hazard.

They show how carrying out procedures the safe and proper way makes for a very productive and prosperous working day.   "Timber Harvesting: Felling Problem Trees"

Having the ability to recognize problem trees is very important in the felling area. Having the skill to fell problem trees is just as important. In this production, eleven problem trees are discussed. Through the module, graphic illustrations as well as actual video shots are shown, in order to demonstrate and teach the viewer how to bring down the problem tree safely.

This is an online listing for sources of chainsaw videos that can be purchased, rented or loaned in the United States.  These thirty plus sources include both government and private producers.  The Professional Logging Contractors of Maine (NASD) has developed this list to provide sources for materials for loggers in Maine.

The Forest Resources Association (formerly the American Pulpwood Association) provides a 160-minute video and manual designed for presenting a 10-segment workshop on safe chain saw operation and maintenance.
