About Christmas Trees FAQ
How do I grow my own Christmas trees?
The National Christmas Tree Association's web site is probably the best place to go if you would like to get into the business. They will help you market you trees, help pick the tree best suited for your area, give advice on the care of your trees, and the list goes on.
Also from NCTA: "There is a book called "Basics of Growing Christmas
Trees" by Donald B. Hilliker, Jr. from Treehaven Evergreen Nursery. We do not endorse or sell this book, but it does
offer a lot of helpful information to anyone getting started. You can purchase a copy at any major nursery in your area.
If they dont have it, they should be able to tell you where you could find a copy.
In addition, growing trees varies a great deal, depending on
your climate, soil, and what kind of tree species youre
interested in growing. We recommend that you contact the
state association closest to you. Visit our list of state and regional association contacts for assistance. NCTA
membership information can also be found there."
