Pigs in Blankets

Great camp, cabin and RV meat recipe tested by the ultimate outdoorsmen! This recipe was developed for two forest rangers with limited provisions and storage and taken from The Lookout Cookbook, 1938. U.S. Forest Service, Region One.

Ingredients:

  • Frankfurters
  • Biscuit dough (see biscuits)
  • Cream gravy

Preparation:

Take frankfurters and fold them in biscuit dough and bake until brown. Make a cream gravy and pour over your pigs in blankets and serve while hot.
