Accretion

Definition: Accretion is the growth on all trees that were measured at the beginning of a defined period of growth. Accretion is one of the basic elements of stand growth, along with mortality and ingrowth. Accretion includes the growth on trees that were cut during the period plus those trees that died and were utilized.
