States With Licensing Boards For Foresters

Thirteen state legislatures have authorized the establishment of boards of registration and licensure for foresters. You have to become a Registered Forester to practice forestry in these states. States that have licensure can reasonably expect that those who have gone through the application process and passed the initial exam are more likely to have the necessary knowledge, experience, and proper education. Foresters, when registered, can also be held accountable for their actions.
